COMMUNITY TRASH PICK UP EVENT

SATURDAY, 01/17
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
PAUL BAtES RACEWAY

The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office will host a Community Trash Pick Up Event on Saturday, January 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., inviting citizens to volunteer and help improve a frequently traveled corridor in the community.

  • The cleanup will focus on Cherry Hill Road, from Woodland Church Road to the landfill, as well as one half mile in each direction along Route 522. This area has been identified as a priority location for cleanup efforts.

Volunteers should plan to park at the Paul Bates Raceway near the landfill between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. CCSO will provide shuttle transportation to and from designated trash pickup locations.

The Sheriff’s Office will partner with VDOT and other local agencies to ensure the event is conducted safely. Citizens should expect a heavy law enforcement presence in the area throughout the event to assist with traffic control and volunteer safety.

High-visibility safety vests will be provided. Volunteers who already own high-visibility vests are encouraged to bring them.

Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to sign up in advance.

The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the community’s continued support and looks forward to working together to keep Culpeper clean and safe.
